A FREE Kid’s Website Teaching Biblical Leadership Values To Kids!

a free kid's website

As I discussed in my last blog, Children’s Ministry Leaders and Parents must have vision when teaching and raising kids. You must have the vision that, what you pour into a child today, makes an impact in their life tomorrow. At Fellowship Church, we have a firm commitment to reach the next generation of leaders and we feel like the best way to reach 3-13 year old’s is through technology, specifically, a free kid’s website they can access any time, anywhere, and on any device. For us, that is LeadershipForKids.com. While in the past we offered this tool for a small cost, we decided, in order to reach the widest audience possible, we would make the website free. Yes, FREE!

As a parent myself, I cannot stress how important the Bible lessons on LeadershipForKids.com are to the life of a child. Most parents will download apps for their children to keep them distracted, or entertained, but these apps are not necessarily teaching children valuable lessons they will need in life. Instead, I encourage parents to go to LeadershipForKids.com, hand the child the phone or tablet, and let them watch a video based toward their specific age group. LeadershipForKids.com will not only keep your child busy and entertained while you, as the parent, are driving to school or making dinner, but LeadershipForKids.com will also help your child learn valuable Leadership Traits from the Bible. These Leadership Traits will ultimately help your child become a leader who makes a difference in this world.

When you go online to LeadershipForKids.com, your child will have access to Music Videos, Bible Lessons, Leadership Videos, and Bible Plans that can be accessed anywhere and at any time! On LeadershipForKids.com you’ll discover more than 400 of your child’s favorite Bible Lessons and Music Videos and over 60 unique Leadership Traits for your child to learn from! Is your child struggling with patience? Watch the Leadership Video “I Will Be Patient!”. Is your child good at encouraging? Watch the Leadership Video “I Will Keep On Telling Others To Do What Is Right!”.

I have been doing Children’s Ministry for over 21 years here at Fellowship Church, and I have discovered that there is one truth that will always stay the same: Learning about God is life-changing! So help change the lives of the children around you by registering and using the site today, and by sharing LeadershipForKids.com with everyone you know!

LeadershipForKids.com is the at-home portion of the Elevate curriculum. To learn more about the curriculum itself go to ElevateAtChurch.com

It's Time For A Summer Adventure!

Summer is here, and you know what that means! Kids are out of school and ready to have some summer fun. This summer at FC, we’ve created a way for children to take their favorite Elevate characters with them and learn about the Bible wherever they go!

Have you ever heard of Flat Stanley? You print him off and take photos with him on your vacation. Kids love to take their picture with Flat Stanley, so we thought, why not make a Flat Wonder and Palette as well as a Flat Tex and Cookie for kids to take their photos with this summer?

Children ages 3-6 will embark on a Summer Adventure with Flat Wonder and Palette. Parents can go online at LeadershipForKids.tv/WonderPalette to download the .pdf.

Children ages 6-14 will saddle up for a Summer Round Up with Flat Tex and Cookie. Parents can go online at LeadershipForKids.tv/TexCookie to download the .pdf.

Sound like something your child would like? Here are the steps to create your own Flat Wonder and Palette or Flat Tex and Cookie:

1. Print the .pdf from LeadershipForKids.tv/WonderPalette or LeadershipForKids.tv/TexCookie

2.  Follow the instructions provided to create your very own Flat Wonder and Palette or Flat Tex and Cookie

3. Take photos of yourself or your child with Flat Wonder and Palette or Flat Tex and Cookie while on vacation, or hanging around the house

4. Post the pictures with the hashtag #FlatWonderPalette or #FlatTexCookie to have your photo featured in the Photo Gallery!

Kids leadership is important. And that’s why this summer, as a part of Wonder and Palette’s Summer Adventure and Tex and Cookie’s Summer Round Up, there is a 12 week Summer Bible Plan for ages 3-6 and ages 6-14. Have your child watch one or more of the listed videos per week whether at home, or traveling across the globe. Each weekly video has been specially chosen for your child with a Bible verse for every day, as well as Elevate music videos that your child will love. Your family can also download the free LeadershipForKids.tv App on their iPhone or Android device to access Wonder and Palette’s Bible Plan as well as Tex and Cookie’s Bible Plan under the ‘More’ section on your mobile device.

These Summer Bible Videos, Flat Wonder and Palette, and Flat Tex and Cookie will be able to travel with you and your children wherever you are headed this summer. Whether your adventures take you to Paris, San Francisco, China, or the living room, be creative, have fun, and make this summer one your child won’t soon forget!

Does Your Child Dance To Music Videos?

One of the greatest things about Elevate’s Radio E music videos is getting to see your child sing and dance along. I enjoy watching my two girls dance along to the music videos while simultaneously learning leadership principles. They learn leadership principles such as being “All In” for God, or saying “I’m Sorry” to those who wrong them while having fun singing and dancing along to music videos!

All Radio E music videos can be viewed on LeadershipForKids.tv for your children to sing and dance to at home, in the car, and everywhere you go! When you sign up for LeadershipForKids.tv, you will have access to over 50 unique music videos that will help your child learn valuable leadership traits and enjoy singing and dancing!

Through LeadershipForKids.tv, you can access the Elevate Music Videos your child gets to watch and participate in every weekend, at home! Some of my favorite Radio E music videos are “Big, Big Love”, “Hosanna”, “John 3:16”, and “<a title="God Is Bigger Music Video" href="https://www This Site.leadershipforkids.tv/watch/kids/god-is-bigger-music-video.html” target=”_blank”>God Is Bigger”.

“It’s so easy to access the song videos on Leadershipforkids.tv! My kids will watch all of them if I let them!” – Holly Bennett

“My daughter Landon loves to go to LeadershipForKids.tv to sing and dance with the music videos at home. She likes to be able to show her mom and sisters all the fun songs at home that she gets to sing on the weekends at church.” – Jordan Day

“Can we watch that video again?!” – Lynley (age 5)

What Can Kids Learn From Biblical Judges?

Biblical Judges

Gideon, Samuel, and Samson are familiar names to those of us who grew up going to church as kids, but what about Othniel, Ehud, Deborah, Eli or Abimelech? Who were they and why do they matter today? Why does it matter what a couple of people over 3,000 years ago did? More importantly, why is it relevant today for kids to learn from the Biblical judges?

Looking back through the Old Testament, the time of the judges was a turbulent time – a time when “all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes” (Judges 21:25b NLT). Sound similar to today’s world? Just looking at the news each night makes us reflect back and think, maybe this is relevant because similar things are going on in the world around me. For our Goodman’s Global Games series we take some Bible Lessons from these judges and make sure they are age appropriate so kids can learn that doing things God’s way is better than doing things the way we think is right.

What can children learn from the judges in 1-2 Samuel and Judges? They learn leadership traits such as:

  • How to live life God’s way
  • How to be a leader through actions instead of words
  • How to help others
  • How to be brave when they are scared
  • How to obey God
  • How to choose good friends

The judges of the Bible were leaders who lived a life that is an example to us. Your children can watch these Bible Lesson videos on LeadershipForKids.org or churches can use these lessons from Elevate’s Goodman’s Global Games series. There are no wasted lessons taught in the Bible. Many valuable leadership traits can be gained from each person in the Bible, including from each of the judges.

Pro-Active Parenting

Recently my wife Karry and I taught a three-week course based on parenting children three years old through fifth grade. The overarching theme of this course was to help parents understand what they need to do in order to help their child be successful.

During this parenting course, one of the key points my wife and I talked about was the importance of pro-active parenting when teaching your child. Pro-active teaching is when you teach your child what is right and wrong before your child is placed in a position where he or she has to make a decision regarding which direction to go next.

Another key point we talked about is the importance of being re-active when teaching your child. Re-active teaching happens when your child does something that God does not want him or her to do and you use that opportunity as a teachable moment to help him or her see why it was wrong and how to handle the situation better in the future.

These areas of teaching are vital in raising successful children, yet they are two areas that we as parents often fail in. That is why we are so passionate about the streaming website called LeadershipForKids.tv. For less than the price of one cup of coffee per month, you as a parent can have a team of professionals ready to help at a moments notice.

Here is how you as a parent can utilize LeadershipForKids.tv to assist you as you use pro-active and re-active teaching with your child:

·      For pro-active teaching, LeadershipForKids.tv will instill morals and values into your child’s moral warehouse, their heart. Then, when a situation arises where a particular moral or value is needed, it will be available and ready to be acted upon.

·      For re-active teaching, LeadershipForKids.tv will come alongside you to help give appropriate insight during those critical teachable moments after your child has done an action of disobedience. In a moments notice, you can find a video on your smart device that deals with the exact issue your child is struggling with. You will be able to use this video as backup to enhance your own teaching, or, if you don’t know what to say, the video can speak for you.

As parents, we have been given an incredible task: to raise our child to know and love Christ and to live a life that is pleasing to Him. By taking advantage of LeadershipForKids.tv, you can be assured that you will have the tools necessary to make the task of raising your child a successful one.

A Christmas Memory That Will Last A Lifetime

As a child I remember the “Countdown to Christmas Advent Calendar” my family used, where little chocolates and scripture readings sat waiting for me behind little windows that were opened each day. It’s funny how this simple cardboard stand made the joyful anticipation of Christmas even greater while helping me to learn even more about the Christmas story.

Because this is such a fond memory of mine we wanted to recreate that joyful feeling with your children this holiday season too!

On LeadershipForKids.tv we’ve come up with our own wonderful “Countdown to Christmas Advent Calendar” that has both a daily reading plan as well as a five-seven minute video your children will enjoy.

Over the next 24 days here is what your children will learn:

Week One: The Light Is Promised
The promise of the Christ and the promises of God.

Week Two:  The Light Is Revealed
God revealing His plan to bring Jesus into the world.

Week Three: The Light Shines
Jesus’ birth is announced to the world.

Week Four: The Light Must Be Shared
The light of Jesus is to be shared around the world.

As a parent, I encourage you to have a special treat that follows the completion of each Scripture reading and video. Nothing big, just something as simple as a piece of chocolate. It will add to the excitement, and it will make a memory and tradition your child will cherish forever.

Not experiencing the amazing benefits of LeadershipForKids.tv yet? No problem! Sign up today for free and utilize it to make this special lifetime memory with your children.
